Steps to Use Panopreter Text to Speech Software

Panopreter supports two types of speaking, the first is Input and Speak, which is the default type, and the other is the Read File. You can set the default type by clicking the menu Options-->Settings, then click the Speak node on the left pane of the Settings dialog, and check the option that you prefer on the Speak window. When Panopreter restarts, the default read mode will be the one of your choice.

  1. First, select the read mode by clicking File menu on the menu bar, and click Input and Speak or Read File menu item.

  2. In the Input and Speak mode, type or paste some text into the text window, or open a text-based file. If you select the Read File mode, you can click the Open, Delete and Clear buttons to manage files. The files you add should be in the same language.

  3. Select a language from the language list window. The language you select must be the same as that of the file or the text in the text window; otherwise, the speech will not be what you want to hear.

  4. After selecting the language, all text to speech voices installed on the computer for the selected language will appear in the voice window. You can select one of these voices.

  5. Click the Speak button to begin reading. The Pause, Resume, and Stop buttons will be enabled.

  6. When the Save as Audio button is enabled, you can convert the text into audio files in wav and mp3 formats.

You can also customize the sample rate and bit rate to get satisfactory audio quality and audio file size. Click the menu Options-->Settings, then click the Audio Format node on the Settings window to show the options. Generally, you only need to change audio format to meet your requirements.
