Panopreter Plus can run on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7.

What kind of Text-To-Speech(TTS) voice engines are compatible with Panopreter Plus?
Voice engines with compatibility of Microsoft SAPI 5 (Speech Application Program Interface) or above can work with Panopreter Plus compatibly.

How do I know what Text-To-Speech(TTS) voices have been installed on the computer?
You can view all the voices available on the computer by following: Control Panel-->Speech-->Speech Properties-->Text To Speech tab-->Voice selection drop down window.

Where can I get other TTS voices?
If you are using Windows XP, the Microsoft Sam voice has been installed by default. On Windows Vista and 7, there is the Microsoft Anna voice which is much clearer. Windows XP users are recommended to install third party voices. You can search for other voices.

Why can't Panopreter Plus recognize the voices I installed?
Panopreter Plus recognizes and reads with voices which are compatible with Microsoft SAPI 5. If the voices are compatible with Microsoft SAPI 4, which is outdated, Panopreter Plus can not recognize the voices and read with them. You can search for other SAPI 5 voices.

Can I change the default language in the language list window?
Yes. you can set the default language by clicking the menu Tools-->Option, select "Language preference" in the left tree view on the dialog window and do you configurations there.

Can I choose the folder where the audio files will be saved?
Yes, you can do so by clicking the menu Tools-->Option, select "Audio file saving configuration" in the left tree view on the dialog window.

Can I choose my favorite music as the default one which will be played after the speech of the "Read file" finished?
Yes, you can do so by clicking the menu Tools-->Option, select "Music settings" in the left tree view on the dialog window.

I added files of different languages into the file list window and wanted to have them read out by Panopreter Plus, but some files were not read out correctly, why?
You should not insert files in different languages into the file list window. Panopreter Plus reads files in the same language after your clicking the "Speak" button. For files in different languages, you should add them to the file list window separately, then select the corresponding language and voice to start the speech.

I clicked the button to save the speech of the files into wave and mp3 files, but I found the audio files were not generated. What should I do?
That might be the wave and mp3 files created before have been opened with other multimedia player software, such as Windows media player and Winamp etc. Close Windows media player and Winamp first and try again.

I added a PDF file, but Panopreter Plus can't extract text from it, why?
Panopreter Plus can extract text from PDF file and read the text out , but if the PDF file is jut images, then no text will be extracted from the file. Make sure the PDF file doesn't consist of images only.

Does Panopreter toolbar speak in other languages other than English?
Yes, Panopreter toolbar can speak in other languages besides English, but the text to speech voices for these languages must be installed on your computer.

What are the versions of Internet Explorer required to run Panopreter toolbar?
Panopretr toolbar is compatible with Internet Explorer 7 or later, you can download the latest Internet Explorer for free from Microsoft's web site and other famous download web sites.

Can Panopreter toolbar read part of the web page content instead of whole text content of the web page?
Yes, it can. You just select some text and click the Speak button, it will read only the selected text. if there is no selection, it reads the whole text on the web page aloud.

How to enable or disable Panopreter toolbar?
To enable Panopreter toolbar, click on the menu "View->Toolbars->Panopreter Toolbar" on Internet Explorer, the menu item "Panopreter Toolbar" will be checked. Uncheck this menu item to disable the toolbar.

If you run the Panopretr Plus setup file to install the program and haven't run Panopreter Plus, you should run Panopreter Plus first to inform the system about Panopreter toolbar, then the Internet Explorer knows the toolbar.

How to change voice volume and speed?
Click "Panopreter" button on the toolbar, select "Adjust volume" or "Adjust speed" menu item to make changes.

How to change the folder where audio files will be saved in?
Click "Panopreter" button on the toolbar, select "Preferences" menu item and make your selection on the "Preferences" dialog window.

How to make the word being read highlighted?
By default the word being read will be highlighted, however if you don't like the word highlighting, you can disable it on the "Preferences" dialog window by clicking on the "Panopreter" button on the toolbar and selecting "Preferences" menu item.

what is file name for the converted audio file?
When converting the web page to audio file, Panopreter toolbar will check if the web page title is valid for a file name, if it is, the title will be used as file name for the audio file, if there is already a file with same file name, it will add a number to the end of the file name, for example, "web file.mp3", or "web file_1.mp3" or "web file_2.mp3" etc, if the title isn't valid for a file name, the audio file will be named as "Untiled.mp3" or "Untitled_1.mp3" or "Untitled_2.mp3" etc. .

No, you cant'. Our copyright policy allows you to install and use the software on only one computer for each purchased copy of Panopreter Plus.

How do I know whether the software is licensed or not?
Click "Help->About" on the menu bar of Panopreter Plus, you can find registration information on the "About" dialog. Click the right mouse button on the information area on the "About" dialog to show context menu, then click corresponding menu items to select and copy the information to the clipboard.
