Panopreter Plus Usage

Panopreter Plus supports 2 types of reading, the first type is "Input and Speak" which is the default, the other is "Read file". You can switch default type by clicking menu "Tools->Option", select "More options" on the dialog and check the option you prefer on it. When Panopreter Plus restarts, the reading mode will the one you select.

1. First select the speech mode by clicking on the corresponding radio button on the upper-left corner of the window.
   
   
2. In the "Input and Speak" mode, just type or paste some text into the edit window. If you have selected the "Read file" mode, you can click the "Add", "Delete", "Empty" buttons to arrange the files. Multiple files which are in same language can be added into the file list window.
   
   
3. Select the language from the language list window, the language you select must be the same as that of the text or the file in the edit window, otherwise the speech will not be what you want to hear.
   
   
4. After the selection of the language, all available text-to-speech voice engines for the selected language installed on the computer appear in the voice window, you can select one from these voices. The highlighted one is recommended by the Windows OS by comparing their acoustic specifications.
   
   
5. Click the "Speak" button to begin speech, the "Pause", "Resume", "Stop" button can work then.
   
   
6. When the "Save to audio" button is available, you can get the wave and mp3 file for the text by clicking it.
   
   

You may also customize the operation by click the menu "Tools->Options" on the window.

• With the toolbar, users can have the web page read directly. If you have selected some text on the web page, and click the "Read" button, the selected text will be read. If you just click "Read" button without any selection, the reading will begin from the beginning text of the whole web page.
  
  
• Click "Convert to MP3" or "Convert to WAV" to convert whole web page text content into audio files.
  
  
• Click "Panopreter" button, you can see a popup menu, you can select menu item to change voice volume and rate. To change the folder where audio file will be saved, or highlight setting, click the "Preferences" menu item.
