Steps to Use the Text to Speech Software Panopreter

Panopreter supports two types of speaking, one type is Input and Speak, the other type is Read Batch Files. You can set the default type by clicking on the software menu bar Options-->Settings, then click the Speak node on the left pane of the Settings dialog, and check the option that you prefer on the Speak tab window. When Panopreter restarts, the default speaking mode will be the one of your choice.

  1. First, select the read mode by clicking File on the menu bar, click Input and Speak or Read Batch Files menu item.

  2. In the Input and Speak mode, type or paste some text into the text window, or open a text-based file. If you select the Read Batch Files mode, you can import multiple files, the files you add should be in the same language.

  3. Select a language from the language list window. The language you select must be the same as that of the file or the text in the text window; otherwise, the speech will not be what you want to hear.

  4. After you select the language, all the text to speech voices installed on the computer for the selected language will appear in the voice window. Select one of the voices.

  5. Click the Speak button, the software will begin to read the text out. The Pause, Resume, and Stop buttons will be enabled.

  6. Or click the Save as Audio button to convert the text to audio files in wav, mp3, ogg, opus, aac, mp4, m4a and flac formats.

You can customize the sample rate and bit rate to get satisfactory audio quality and audio file size. Click the menu Options-->Settings, then click the Audio Format node on the Settings window to show the options. Generally, you only need to change wav format to meet your requirements.
